When Vian went through a very hard break up he had trouble writing songs. One day he sat with his brother and wanted to write but couldn't. His brother asked him if he could write about something what would it be. Vian replied, "Man I just want things to get better." They spent the afternoon writing the song and kept it to two lines purposefully.
