All the Things

from All the Things

Vian Izak · 2026 · Pop

Midtempo indie pop with a chill, melancholic glow—piano and shimmering synths glide over a smooth groove, lifted by male–female vocals and cinematic strings and flutes, in the vein of Coldplay, SYML, and Oh Wonder.

About This Song

Written initially only as a piano vocal song, "All the Things" took on a life of its own when Vian shared it with Juniper Vale and Ben Laver. They loved it and together the three developed an orchestral inspired song and looped in other musicians. Wes Little recorded drums and percussion in his studio and Micah Von tracked bass. Ben Laver added orchestral elements and Sarah Jane added her beautiful ethereal vocal production.

Musical Style

Indie pop and electropop with alt-pop sensitivity; sleek electronic production wrapped in organic color. Shimmering pads, piano-led motifs, and subdued danceable pulse evoke Coldplay’s widescreen pop, SYML’s emotive minimalism, and Oh Wonder’s duet-driven electropop.

Themes and Meaning

Introspective reflection on getting things wrong, carrying emotional weight, and yearning for connection and a place to belong. Melancholy verses open to hopeful refrains about healing, moving forward, and growing out of the past.

Instrumentation and Production

Piano anchors the harmony; airy synths and gentle pads create spacious atmosphere. Warm bass and smooth, midtempo drums with tape delay provide a soft, steady groove. Strings swell for cinematic lift, while flutes—spotlighting Chinese flute—add bright, breathy timbre. Male lead and soft female vocals weave layered harmonies, all in polished, modern pop production with organic texture.

Who This Song Is For

For fans of emotive indie pop and subtle electropop with duet vocals—think Coldplay, SYML, and Oh Wonder. Ideal for late-night drives, mellow focus sessions, and moody pop playlists that balance melancholy and quiet uplift.
