Originally recorded in a studio in Nashville using nylon guitars and a raw vocal, Each Other evolved over time to just be a piano vocal track. The track never sat well with Vian as an acoustic guitar song is he wanted a meditative slower feel. finally, a few days before the record needed to be completed, Vian sat by his piano and recorded the version that eventually made it onto the final track list.
